Students and Staff Give
to Hearts and Hands
Student Council organized a successful food drive during Thanksgiving week. On Tuesday Student Council members delivered 180 canned goods to Hearts and Hands as well two families received everything needed for their Thanksgiving dinner. Students and staff, preschool through seniors brought a canned good and received a picture to color and enter into the coloring contest. Junior High Boys
Begin Basketball Season
The season has started for the junior high boys basketball team. Mr. Maresh is the coach and games are in full swing. The 7th grade had a win against West-Point Beemer on Tuesday night and the 8th grade has not had a win as of yet but tonight the Pender Pendragons come to town for a game at 6:30. Preschoolers Fill..
Old Mother Hubbard's Cupboard
Old Mother Hubbard Preschoolers learned the nursery rhyme Old Mother Hubbard and had lots of fun performing the play for each other. We also took this time to fill her cupboard for our local food pantry. Each child brought a non perishable food item to donate. Throughout the week the children also learned about the food groups with jam tasting and comparing white and wheat bread. Strawberry jam won the vote, and apple came in second…what is your favorite.
