Penguins from the zoo
conferenced with 1st and 2nd graders
The 1st and 2nd graders gathered in the distance learning lab to have a penguin conference with the Henry Doorly Zoo. They took us behind the scenes and gave us a close up look at the different types of penguins that they have at the zoo. The zoo workers told us that there are eighteen different types of penguins but they only have 6 types at the zoo in Omaha. The workers feed the penguins twice a day in their 35-38 degree habitat. The penguins do fly and will steal eggs if their egg happens to die. read more
